Step 1
Download EdgeFinder
Go to My Account → Downloads and download the latest EdgeFinder files.
Tip: Save the file to your Desktop so it’s easy to find.
Step 2
Open your MT5 Data Folder
In MT5, click: File → Open Data Folder
- Open the MQL5 folder
- Then open Indicators
Step 3
Install the indicator
Copy the EdgeFinder .ex5 file into:
MQL5 → Indicators
If you received any extra files (templates / presets), keep them in the same download folder for now.
Step 4
Restart MT5 / Refresh Navigator
Restart MT5, or in the Navigator panel:
- Right-click Indicators
- Click Refresh
You should now see EdgeFinder listed under Indicators.
Step 5
Activate your license
Open a chart → attach EdgeFinder → enter your License Key when prompted (or paste it in the settings if your version uses an input field).
✅ Make sure you are logged into the correct MT5 terminal
✅ Your PC time & date must be correct
✅ Allow MT5 internet access (license verification)
Terminals: If your plan includes multiple terminals, you can install on multiple MT5 installations (1 terminal = 1 MT5 installation).
Troubleshooting
If EdgeFinder doesn’t show / won’t activate
- Not showing in Navigator: confirm the file is inside MQL5/Indicators, then restart MT5.
- Activation failed: check your internet connection and PC date/time.
- Signature / key mismatch: make sure you’re using the latest file from Downloads and the correct license (one license per PC/terminal depending on your plan).
